SIX MINUTE GRACE PERIOD

Expanding on our late fee and policy, we would like to let you know about our 6 minute policy. Depending on which services you are booked for, if you arrive or will be arriving six minutes later than your appointment time, we may be unable to provide the originally scheduled service(s). If when you arrive we are unable to service you, you will be charged a same-day cancellation fee, if we are unable to fill someone into your appointment time slot. If you are booked for multiple services, one or more of the services may not be provided based on how late you arrive. Considering some service times are longer than others, the outcome of the service will have to be determined at that time. If you find yourself running late, we recommend contacting our studio as soon as possible. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate the original service appointment, we will do our best to find an alternative solution that suits your needs.

AUTOMATIC GRATUITY

Starting April 1, 2023, all services will include an automatic 20% gratuity. This change has been implemented to ensure that our Sugarists receive fair and appropriate compensation for their hard work, knowledge, and dedication. We understand that tipping can be a sensitive subject, and we want to make it as easy and transparent as possible for our clients. With this new policy, your Sugarist will have a predictable living wage while providing an exceptional experience for you. We appreciate your continued patronage and look forward to serving you in the future.

TANNING & SUGARING

We recommend waiting at least 24–48 hours between sugaring and tanning because your skin may be more sensitive. Because sugaring exfoliates the skin by removing the top layer of dead surface skin cells, you’re more likely to experience sunburn. If you are going to go in the sun within 48 hours of sugaring, we recommend wearing sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more.

PREGNANCY & SUGARING

We will only service pregnant women up to 2 weeks before delivery.  Providing the accurate pregnancy term and client physical condition is sole responsibility of the client. However, you may experience more skin sensitivity due to the hormonal changes your body is going through. Our sugaring specialists will make you as comfortable as possible during the service. We recommend checking with your doctor if sugaring is right for you while you are pregnant due to higher sensitivity levels.

LATE POLICY & CANCELATIONS/RESCHEDULING

We understand life gets sticky! So, we’ve made rescheduling + canceling your reservation easy with our online booking feature. As a courtesy to other clients and our team it’s important to understand that when forgetting or canceling reservations without giving enough notice, we lose the opportunity to fill that reservation time, and other clients waiting for reservations miss out on receiving services. For the benefit and respect of all our clients and community members, booking reservations through Sugared Beauty Bar Inc. are subject to the following terms:

You may cancel or modify your reservation without charge anytime, 24 hours preceding the start time of your reservation. Less than 24 hours’ notice is considered a “Late Cancellation” and will result in a charge of 20% of all scheduled service(s). Same-day rescheduling or “dropping a service” is considered a missed opportunity for another client. If you require a last-minute reschedule a 20% charge will be made to your card on file.

If you do not cancel your reservation via text/call or do not show up for your scheduled reservation, you will be considered a “No Show” and charged 20% of the scheduled service(s).

Reservations that are booked within the 24-hour period are still subject to the cancellation policy. As a courtesy, reservation confirmation messages are sent 24-48 hours in advance of reservations by both SMS and email (at the time of booking) to the contact information we have on file. Failing to respond to those confirmation messages could result in your reservation slot being given to another client.

To ensure a full experience, please arrive at least five minutes before your scheduled reservation time. Late arrivals will be charged the full price of the scheduled service(s) even if there is not enough time to render them.

We will never require deposits for services less than 1 hour. Full body services, full leg services, and all services that are scheduled for 1 hour or more are subject to an 18% gratuity and may require a 25% deposit.

You can cancel/reschedule your reservation using the link in the booking reminder email (sent when you made your reservation) or by emailing us at hello@sugaredbeautybar.com or by phone - 516 412 8860. Arrival 6 minutes or more after your treatment time may be considered as a "No Show" and the cancelation fee will apply.

We reserve the right to flag any active account if 3 or more consecutive appointments have been cancelled, no showed or are made and cancelled within a 3 month period. All flagged accounts may be subject to paying in full at the time of confirmation or walk-in only. An account may result in loss of booking privileges.

TUESDAY, YOU DAY PROMOTION

Previously, all services (with the exclusion of full leg services) booked on Tuesdays were discounted 50%. As of Saturday, July 1, 2023 we are ending the Tuesday, You Day promotion for the months of July and August as it is now our busy season. Tuesday, You Day will be reinstated during our off-peak season. If you are looking for more ways to save please inquire about our Sugar Passes or monthly subscriptions. 

MEMBERSHIP TERMS

You must be 18 years of age or older to subscribe or have parental permission to participate. A credit card must be left on file to be billed on the same day of purchase (i.e. if purchased on March 8th, the billing cycle will be on the 8th) of each month. If that card fails, a backup payment method will be charged. To cancel submit a request via the Sugared Beauty Bar email hello@sugaredbeautybar.com 30 days before the next billing cycle. Membership service benefits or rollover benefits may be used for a lesser or equally priced service, but do not hold any cash value and may not be redeemed for multiple services with lesser or equal cash value. A no-call / no-show appointment is subject to a forfeiture of the membership benefit for the scheduled service. Memberships are non-transferable and you may be asked to present a government-issued photo I.D. to redeem membership benefits. All membership rollover benefits expire in 30 days. Any unused/accrued membership service benefits will expire if and when the membership is terminated. All appointments are subject to availability and it is strongly recommended that you schedule appointments in advance.

Even though we do not do it often and it’s not in our interest, Sugared Beauty Bar reserves the right to cancel any appointment without providing an explanation and/or reason. Human factors might cause scheduling and staffing difficulties and we always try our best to resolve and accommodate all clients.
