We want you to be educated about everything we use on your skin and do in our studio.

If your question isn’t here, don’t hesitate to call/text us at 516 412 8860.

We are also working on reducing our carbon footprint. Sugaring isn’t just better for your skin, it’s less impactful on the environment.

P.S. Our main goal is to help you glow! Together we'll slay.

Sugaring Hair Removal

  • We love helping our clients make the switch! If you're new to sugaring you can expect one of our insightful Sugarists to explain the process and walk you through your experience. At the end of your appointment, you'll be given an aftercare card with more info about how to stay hair-free longer and tips for in between your sessions. We're here to make you feel like you're best self! You totally got this!

  • We highly recommend growing your hair out for as long as you can for your first visit. This can be anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on the area being serviced. Think the length of a grain of rice for reference.

Fact: Hair growth goes through three main phases, collectively known as the hair growth cycle. The longer you grow it out, the longer your smoothness will last.

  • We can't speak for everyone, but it's often said to be less spicy than waxing. If you're a regular waxer, you're familiar with the spiciness of hair removal, and sugaring is no different. If you're transitioning from shaving or letting things go wild (we embrace the wild), we recommend avoiding the bikini area when you're on your period. Everything else is fair game.

  • First of all, Congratulations!! When are you due? We wanna hear all about your pregnancy journey! Sugaring is safe for all. If you’re new to sugaring we recommend coming in after your first trimester. Sugaring IS safe during your first trimester, just keep in mind the spiciness level increases as you move further into your pregnancy.

We are trained to handle your baby bump (no matter how far along the way) and make sure you are comfortable and relaxed.

  • Yes, this is totally up to you. We get sugared during our periods and although it's not the best time, leaving smooth and silky always feels good, especially when everything else feels like !@#$.

PS. If you get your period at the time of your appointment (this happens more often than you think) ask for our nature kit at the front desk. We gotchu.

  • Never. Okay, we never say never, but we don’t encourage it. Sugaring is a journey, every appointment is a step closer to your hair-less goals. If waiting for your next reservation, feels like too much time in between, come in sooner. Ask about our Sugar Pass Series and Monthly Memberships for savings.

Side bar: try trimming instead of shaving and don’t get too close to your skin.

  • This depends on the service area. Hair growth above the waist grows faster and finer (2-3 weeks), while below the waist hair is coarser and grows slower (4-6 weeks). Ask your Sugarist for their recommendation on your next visit.

  • Exfoliate! We can't stress enough how much this will help with pain management and the overall health of your skin. Using tools such as a dry brush, a coffee scrub, or exfoliating bar soap are some of the options we offer in studio to support you during the in between.

Secondly, stay hydrated. Drink more water.

  • First, we need to mention you're not alone. Most adults are prone to ingrown hairs. The best way to keep them at bay is exfoliating! There are many ways to do this: dry brushing with a natural bristle body brush, exfoliating cloth or glove, and/or body scrub two to three times per week. This keeps dead skin cells from trapping new hair growth under your skin. Also, don't forget to moisturize! If your skin feels dry, it's crying for hydration. Listen to your body.

  • Our sugaring paste is made from sugar, lemon and water. A blend perfected from the original honey recipe from our ancestors. Ask to try it during your next visit. It's that organic. ; )

Body Therapy

  • Wood therapy is a natural massage technique that uses wooden tools to stimulate the body's lymphatic system, break down cellulite, and improve the appearance of the skin. The treatment helps contour the body by reducing fluid retention and promoting circulation.

  • Manual lymphatic massage (MLM) helps improve lymphatic flow, reducing swelling, promoting detoxification, and boosting the immune system. It can be especially beneficial for post-surgery recovery, reducing water retention, and improving skin tone.

  • Results vary based on individual goals, but many people start seeing changes after 3-5 sessions. For optimal and long-lasting results, regular treatments are recommended, especially when combined with a healthy diet and exercise routine.

  • Wood therapy can be intense for some but is generally not painful. The sensation might feel 'spicy' or like deep pressure, but it should not be uncomfortable. Manual lymphatic massage is gentle and typically very relaxing.

  • Some mild bruising or soreness may occur after wood therapy, but this usually subsides quickly. After both treatments, it's essential to drink plenty of water to support lymphatic drainage and flush out toxins.
