Welcome Grace ‘Gigi’ Simone
We are overjoyed to introduce the newest member of our family, Grace Simone, lovingly nicknamed Gigi. She made her grand entrance into our lives on May 23, 2024, a date we will cherish forever.
From the moment she was born, Gigi has brought an abundance of love and happiness into our home. Her name, Grace Simone, carries deep meaning for us. "Grace" represents my late grandmother, a beacon in her community as a midwife and service worker in Guyana. She was a woman of immense strength and compassion, and we hope that Gigi will embody these same qualities. "Simone" pays homage to the legendary Nina Simone, a musical genius and advocate whose songs reflected her times. Nina Simone is a shared love between my husband and me.
Gigi arrived on a Flower Moon, filling the room with love and anticipation as we awaited her first cries, a sound that instantly brought tears of joy to our eyes. From her tiny fingers to her button nose, she is perfect in every way.
Bringing Gigi home a month ago has been an extraordinary experience. We’ve spent countless hours gazing at her, marveling at the miracle of her existence. Her presence has already woven an intricate pattern of love and connection in our family, making our bonds even stronger.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our family and friends for your love, support, and well wishes. Your kind messages and thoughtful gestures have meant the world to us during this precious time. We can’t wait for you all to meet Gigi and watch her grow!
